Nicolás Morin · Black and grey realism

One client a day.Nobody waiting after you —the whole daygoes into your piece.

The studio

Out of the city, on purpose.

The studio is on a farm outside Paris, Ontario. No traffic outside the window, no waiting time, nobody in the next chair.

A large piece takes hours. It is easier to sit through them somewhere quiet.

Reiki and intention

Intention is part of the work, if you want it to be.

I have practised Reiki since I was fourteen — longer than I have tattooed. Symbol, intention and the state you arrive in all belong to the piece.

None of that is required. If you want a beautiful tattoo and nothing else, that is what you will get.

Watch the work become itself.

New pieces as they are finished, and the work in progress a portfolio never shows: the stencil going on, the hours of shading, the moment it is done.

Tell me what you want to carry.

The idea, where it goes, roughly how big. It takes a few minutes and comes straight to me.
